making birdseed feeders

silly faces!  and yes, sometimes they get stuck like that...

John and I got to dress up as some of our favorite TV show characters (Chuck and Sarah) for a Minute 2 Win It game night with our Life Group

I love sharing the joy and wonder of cooking with my kiddos!

Birthday boy opening special present from Grandma and Grandpa

Pig tails up the cuteness factor by about 10!

Ben came up with this idea all on his own.  He told me he was working on the car to fix the tires to make them float and that he needed to add turbo jet blasters to the back to make it super fast.

Of course Megan wanted to get in on the fun too and Ben tried to find something for her to do, but clearly wanted all the tools to himself, so finally, with frustration he said to her "Why don't you go fix us some food, Megan?"  Oh boy.  We have some work to do!

Apparently sibling care involves frequent checkups

Octonauts Birthday Party

All these characters are from one of Ben's favorite shows, Octonauts.  We made it an undersea theme with some fun touches of creativity :)

Like these hotdogs made to look like octopi.  The kids dubbed them "Octodogs"

Ben's best birthday present this year was having Aunt Melissa, Cousins Hayden and Garrett, and Gran come visit!

I don't know who had more fun putting the Legos together, Daddy, Aunt Melissa or Ben

"How sharp are those teeth?"

Opening his present from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa: Captain America shield, to go along with the costume from Gran and Pops

The new Captain America!

As a fun day with cousins and a birthday celebration we spent the day at the zoo and came home with a few furry friends.
