Summertime Fun

Lots of summer fun with family....

We had a family outing with Gran and Pops to the Children's Museum and much to Pops' delight and approval, Ben loved the train exhibit.

.....and the cockpit of the plane...

....and the mechanical water toys....

....and most of all, the bus.  Yeah, pretty much anything that involved buttons, gears, motors.....we may have a future mechanical engineer on our hands.  Or a bus driver.  Ever since he sat in the bus he has been enthralled with buses.  Every vehicle that is any larger than a car is deemed "BUS!!" and must be pointed out (and acknowledged by Mommy and Daddy) with great excitement.

We love our new water table---thanks, Pops and Gran!

And we love it when Wes comes to visit!

This was about as close to water as Ben was willing to get....Wes on the other hand was willing to get in and lose all his clothes in the process!

Jen and I were talking and looked over and noticed that the boys had independently seated themselves together and were reading quietly....for awhile.  Wow.  Cool moment!

Who doesn't love a good bowl hat?!

Just like Daddy, and proud of it!

Ben's new interest: beep beep.  Whenever we are in the car he asks "beep beep?"  which translates: "Can I sit in the front seat and turn every dial and button on to make noises and dings until you go crazy but I am having a blast?"
